Monday’s Devotional

Philippians 3:20 – 4:1 – “But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stay true to the Lord. I love you and long to see you, dear friends, for you are my joy and the crown I receive for my work.”

The reason why I love this verse and how it applies to every Christian then and now is because it reminds us that this life is temporary. We are all citizens of heaven. Even though our bodies may be weak, we will be transformed to new perfect bodies. When I think of this I know that the pain and trails I go through daily are worth it. I cannot wait until the day I see Jesus face to face. Until then I will try my hardest to be Christ like and to sacrifice any worldly desires I have to be like Him. I hope everyone has a blessed day.
