Matthew 6:14-15

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

I wanted to talk about forgiveness today. As Christians it is one of the hardest concepts to fully accept. There has been multiple times in my life where people did not deserve forgiveness and I never gave it to them. I used to think an eye for an eye, but I always had a chip on my shoulder or anger towards that person even if they were not around me. It was not until I learned to forgive them that the sense of anger left me. This Scripture affirms what I learned and takes it a step further. How can we expect God to forgive us for our wrong doings and not do the same for others?  We are no different than those who trespass on us in His eyes. When we fully understanding this concept and chose not to forgive someone who has wronged you in the past will only make you hypocritical. So for today I ask for your sake to chose to forgive someone that has wronged you and let the hate you have been holding on to leave. It is a sense of freedom you will have. Please have a blessed day.
