1 Samuel 17:26

David asked the men who were standing by him, “What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? Indeed, who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?”

Everybody knows the story of David and Goliath, but what gave David the ability to fight Goliath? The answer is David’s perspective of the situation.  When the Israeli army was running scared from fear, they were seeing Goliath as a monster.  Due to his sheer size and his defiance, Goliath make the people fear him instead of acknowledging that they were god’s army. They had a worldly view of their situation. David had another view of the situation.  David saw a pagan “man” that was defying his God.  David did not fear that “man” because he was standing up for his Heavenly Father.  What helped David was seeing it from God’s point of view so to speak.  When understanding that God is on our side, who can stand agast us?

What giants have you been facing lately?  Viewing things from God’s perspective instead of a worldly perspective can change how you see impossible situations into the possible ones.  Remember what you can learn from David in this situation, when you stop looking at your monster you can find a different avenue of approach to your situation.  So pray for whatever situation you are facing and understand that God is fighting for you just like He fought for David.  Put your trust in Him and God will help you conquer your enemies no matter their size.  I will leave you with Romans 8:31 and please have a blessed day!

“What, then, can we say about all of this? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
